Points are posted - those members with an "X" next to their names have paid the
awards fee. This $25 fee is due by September 13 - to qualify for year end awards.
The NBHA has done away with the "non-member" fee - so if you know any
non-members that avoid NBHA's because of that fee - please let them know that it
has been waived.
We have some exciting news concerning the All-District show in August. We will be
including a Pole Bending Class that is NPBA sanctioned. It is a 3D pole class with a
$15 entry fee. Those who wish to join the NPBA can do so at the all-dist show - and
if they run both days - they would then be qualified for the National Pole Bending
Finals in 2009 - which promises $10,000 added money and lots of prizes! So start
legging those pole bending machines up!
Entry forms and information about the All-Dist show is on the state website -
www.nbhamostate.com
It is not necessary to pre-enter - but pre entries will go into a drawing for free
stalls!
Also - as a side note - our state director (who does a fabulous job!) is altering the
dress code for the August show to include short sleeve collard shirts or the NBHA
state show t-shirts.
Also - our district will be responsible for setting the 1st barrel - so please sign up at
the show to help out! Also - we are needing tractor driver volunteers! Let us know if
you are available!
DISTRICT CHALLENGE RACE - The all district show will also have a fun "side
race" option - you can pull together a team of 5 folks - all from your district and
nominate them for the district race. There is a $50 per team entry, and times will be
counted from both runs, both days. Sign up at the show!
RAIN-OUT RESCHEDULES: We have scheduled 2 shows at Union Saddle Club - to
make up for the "rain-outs". Mark September 13th and October 18th on your
calenders. Show time will be 11am.
Please remember to pay your awards fee at the next jackpot. This can be paid
directly to the district in the amount of $25 - or in the form of a $50 sponsor. We
gave away some great year end awards last year - dont miss out!

ALL-DISTRICT UPDATE --- We will be adding 2 "side-pot" races to the show on Saturday: An adult barrels class for riders aged 19-49, and a junior horse barrels for horses age 5 and under. These classes would utilize your time ran in the open class - and payout like a separate class. Details will be available at the show!
